Composite bonding

If you’ve always wanted to change the colour, shape or overall appearance of your teeth, but have been worried about causing damage, then composite bonding could be just the solution you’re looking for.

The magic ingredient

Composite bonding, also known as composite artistry, is an advanced dentistry technique that can help you achieve the smile you’ve always wanted.

We use dental composite – a versatile material that can be directly bonded to your teeth – to replace broken edges, improve the shape of teeth, lighten shades and even redesign your entire smile.

The composite material is matched exactly to your teeth, so that people will think your brilliant smile is completely natural.

A neat solution

There are a variety of dental issues that can be resolved using composite bonding, including:

Cracked teeth
Using composite bonding, we can minimise the appearance of cracks and help to prevent them from getting larger. This is particularly effective when treating miniscule cracks that can cause your smile to become discoloured.

Chipped teeth
Composite tooth bonding is an excellent treatment choice for repairing chipped teeth. Using our specially-formulated bonding material we can restore your tooth, prevent further damage and create an even surface.

Closing gaps in your teeth
We can build outwards, using the teeth on either side of any gaps, to effectively close small spaces in your smile.

Hiding discolouration
Composite bonding can hide discoloured root surfaces that may be dulling your smile.

Protect exposed tooth roots
This specially formulated composite resin can even be used to treat exposed tooth roots and prevent the painful sensitivity that it causes.

Before & afters

The process

We’ll colour-match the bonding resin to the natural shade of your teeth. We’ll then apply the resin to your teeth, using it to shape, smooth and cover imperfections in the surface of your teeth. The resin is then hardened, using a special light.

While composite materials won’t last as long as options like veneers or dental crowns, it is a quick, cost-effective and pain-free treatment that can be repeated whenever your teeth need touching up.

Composite bonding lasts for around five years on average. The material is hard-wearing, but not as hard as your natural teeth and it can wear down, chip, break, or get stained, affecting its lifespan.

There are a variety of ways in which you can keep your beautiful smile in great shape:

    • Brush and floss regularly
    • Have regular dental check-ups to identify any issues early on
