Dental implants
Are gaps in your mouth making you ashamed of your smile? Have missing teeth put a dent in your confidence? You’re not alone. But the good news is, there’s a way to restore missing teeth and close gaps to regain a natural-looking, brilliant smile with dental implants.
Your problems solved
Dental implants are artificial roots that act so much like natural teeth, you’ll barely even notice the difference. They can be used in a range of ways, including:
- Replacing a single missing tooth by supporting a crown
- Replacing multiple teeth by supporting a bridge or multiple crowns
- Holding loose dentures securely in place
Unbeatable comfort and support
Unlike conventional dental bridges that involve drilling into healthy surrounding teeth, dental implants are inserted into your jaw in a quick and relatively painless procedure. Implants help to maintain the natural bone in your jaw, preventing further bone loss and a sunken appearance that many people with missing teeth suffer from. With the right care, this long-term solution can give you a lifetime of comfort, stability and confidence in your smile.

FAQs
How do dental implants actually work?
We’ll place a titanium cylinder in your gums, which takes the place of the root that was there before your tooth fell out. This cylinder will fuse to the bone, and help you regain the stability needed to do activities we all take for granted, like biting chewing and even talking.
Once the implant has been fitted, we’ll fit an abutment to your implant, which helps to keep your new tooth, or teeth, fixed to the root.
Your replacement, which usually takes the form of a dental crown or bridge, will be made in a dental laboratory using impressions of your teeth to ensure that it sits perfectly within your mouth.
How can dental implants help me talk, bite and chew better?
When you lose one of your teeth, it not only leaves you with a visible space in your mouth, but a space in your gums where your root used to be. These roots provide your mouth with the stability to bite and chew properly, as well as to talk clearly. Dental implants act like artificial roots and replace the stability you lose when you lose a tooth.
How long can dental implants last?
With proper care and good dental hygiene, dental implants can last a lifetime. However, just like real teeth, people’s gums and bones can weaken over time, meaning that the longevity of an implant can vary from person to person.
